Rancho Crystal Palace is the Proud Home of the Northwest Las Vegas Youth Roller Hockey League!

The “Little House of Champions”, as the Rancho Crystal Palace is commonly referred to throughout the Las Vegas hockey community, boasts the longest running and successful youth hockey program in the entire State of Nevada. Several of Nevada’s top skaters, including Micah Sanford, a forward playing Division I ice hockey at the University of Nebraska, started their careers right here in the NWLVYRHL!

For over 10 years the Rancho Crystal Palace has been offering year-round youth hockey leagues to skaters of all skill levels. Several youth travel teams coming out of the Palace have reached national notoriety, winning roller hockey tournaments throughout the entire country.

Dear Players, Parents and Coaches,

The upcoming Spring League is fast approaching and we would like to take this time to remind everyone to get your registration forms in early. This past season we had players that we were not able to put in the league because of late registration. We will not take any registration after Monday April 7th because the teams will already have been put together.

The Northwest Las Vegas Youth Roller Hockey League is in our 15th year and we are still dedicated to the development of youth hockey players at all ages. Our youth hockey program is designed for all players to have equal playing time regardless of their ability and to have fun playing the game of roller hockey. We have appropriate age divisions and levels of play so that all players may have the opportunity to compete and have fun at which ever level they desire to play in.

Our house leagues have provided children of all ages the opportunity to develop their hockey skills at the pace at which they are most comfortable. We offer divisions for the youngest beginners, all the way to our older teams. There is a place for every level of hockey player in our program. We will strive to instill good sportsmanship, honesty, integrity, cooperation and respect for others and the game of hockey in all forms and on all levels. Your payment must be with your registration. We will not accept registrations without your payment. If you need to post date a check that will be OK. If you play in 2 divisions you must pay for both divisions.

TEAM ROSTERS – All teams have been designed to the best of our ability to keep the games as close as possible. “Parity” in the league is one of our main goals. During the 1st or 2nd week of the league play, I may need to move a few players around to make the teams even. If I have to do this it will done during the 1st or 2nd week of play and not after that. (Please make your child aware of this possibility.)

DIVISION -	Cubs	5 and under	2 – 16 minute halves
	Atoms	6 – 8 years old	2 – 17 minute halves
	Mites	9 – 11 years old	2 – 18 minute halves
	Squirts	12 – 14 years old	2 – 18 minute halves
	Pee Wees	15 – 18 years old	2 – 19 minute halves

AWARDS - For league play 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will receive individual awards for each of their players. There will also be a High Scorer, Best Goalie, Playmaker, Most Improved and Best Defenseman award given in each age division.

EQUIPMENT & UNIFORMS – All Skates must be rink safe. No protruding parts to scrape the skating surface. Hockey helmets with full face shields or cages and all buckles snapped and not hanging loose. Hockey gloves, shin pads and elbow pads are mandatory. Elbow pads must be worn under your hockey jersey at all times. Shin pads must be covered by hockey socks, sweat pants or hockey pants. Any players receiving an equipment warning from an official must remedy the problem before being allowed to play.

The Official Rule Book for our League Play is the USA puck hockey rule book plus rules listed below:

Each player is required to be dressed and ready to play 30 minutes prior to the start of their game.
At game time each team must have 3 dressed eligible players and a goalie on the floor and ready to begin play. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of the game.
Teams will defend the goal opposite their bench the 1st half and on the same side as their bench the 2nd half. Home teams are listed on the schedule 1st and have the bench to the left of the score keeper.
Each team will be permitted 1 – one minute time out per game which may be called at any time by the coach during a stoppage of play. Any violations of this rule will result in a 2 minute bench minor penalty.
Fighting will be absolutely forbidden at any time either during or in between games. Violations will result in a minimum 2 game suspension.
ABUSIVE AND PROFANE LANGUAGE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED BY PLAYERS, COACHES OR PARENTS AT ANY TIME.
We want to remind everyone that the officials are here to help our league. Abuse of officials, physically or verbally will not be tolerated. Any violations of this will result in severe actions taken by Crystal Palace to remove the violators from the premises.
Each child is responsible for returning their jersey to their coach at the end of League play. The jerseys that are provided belong to the league. Do not put your names on these jerseys.
